This fall edition also highlights a JenCare health event and an Advanced Legacy Lines art workshop, offering adults 60 and older opportunities to focus on wellness and creativity.

This edition honors Dolly Parton’s legacy through the Imagination Library and the joy of reading it brings to our community. We also highlight our Give 8/28 campaign supporting initiatives like Legacy Lines, a six-week program helping New Orleans seniors preserve memories and family stories through journaling and art.

Neighbors came together to help seniors and residents with disabilities prepare for hurricane season through our workshop with Hands On New Orleans and Common Ground USA. This edition also spotlights the Backstreet Cultural Museum, its preservation of New Orleans traditions, and its generous support of High Voltage through Auctions in August.

In this edition, we spotlight New Orleans artist Craig Tracy and his generous donation to Auctions in August. We also share highlights from the AmeriHealth Caritas Back to School Giveaway and how community support is helping us reach our goal of providing school supplies to local students.

2025: OUR YEAR IN REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS!

High Voltage continues “Legacy Lines,” a six-week creative aging initiative teaching journaling and drawing to seniors in New Orleans. Participants record memories, cultural traditions, and family histories through mixed-media journaling. Rooted in the city’s storytelling legacy, the project empowers older adults to preserve their voices and share wisdom across generations. A final exhibition will showcase participants’ work, celebrating resilience and cultural pride.
